A beautiful and very well kept cottage that was thoroughly enjoyed by myself and teenage daughters. We loved the place for its coziness and location. Everything we needed for a quiet and relaxing break. We would definitely recommend it and wouldn’t hesitate to go again.
Great property, in a very rural location, excellent hosts. Had all that we needed as a family of 4 and one dog.
Lovely cottage, well equipped very clean. Peaceful in beautiful surrounding countryside. Owners very friendly and helpful..
Excellent accommodation for 4 adults, with 2 good sized bedrooms and a spacious comfortable open plan kitchen, dinning, living space. Everything that we needed for a comfortable stay was provided, including extra wood for a cosy fire. We had a lovely stay and will be happy to return in the near future!
Our second visit to this very comfortable cottage, which is in a great location for exploring the lovely surrounding countryside and villages. Jane and Adam are excellent hosts, warm, friendly and very helpful. Looking forward to staying here again soon.
Had a great week in this delightful cottage. The location is beautiful and the cottage has been beautifully restored. Many lovely walks from the cottage. Our hosts were charming, very thoughtful. Enjoyed the chats!
Very helpful owners. Excellent for dogs; good location for visiting interesting sites.
Beautiful cottage in country side, on a working arable farm. very peaceful. Hosts were charming. Stayed with our two labradors who settled straight in. Will return.
Beautiful barn converted cottage, well equipped and in a peaceful location. Very welcoming, helpful and friendly owners.
What a lovely relaxing little cottage, I would love to go back one day
The cottage was first rate, in a beautiful setting, and the owners were really friendly and helpful. We loved it.
The cottage is a comfortable and relaxing place to stay. Great in the Autumn with log burning stove and roll top deep bath. Clean, tidy and well equipped. I'd definitely recommend this place to stay. Click book button
We loved everything about the cottage! A really beautifully appointed accommodation in a tranquil location!
Just as described on the Rural retreats website. Peaceful. Friendly, welcoming owners.
We enjoyed the cottage facilities and excellent underfloor heating to keep us warm. Our only disappointment was the view we were expecting from the cottage, which was the very reason for booking it. The description should be taken down as it is more than misleading. It was not a view from the cottage property window(s) or garden, but out through the front door over to an orchard meadow, and a further 150 yards to see the open country side view as per the site photograph. In theory, I could post a picture of London Bridge, as from the cottage, as long as I took a train and tube ride.
I am very pleased that you enjoyed lovely Hampton Wafre Cottage but I am sorry that our photos were misleading. We have changed the wording on the website as it is not a view from the house however it is a photo of the immediate surrounding countyside which we think prospective guests would like to see.
A beautiful, well presented cottage with everything we could ask for provided. The owners were welcoming and dealt with any queries really quickly. The cottage is located in a convenient location for visiting the local area. Unfortunately Storm Dennis stopped some of our visits but it didn't matter as the cottage was so perfect. Would definitely recommend to others wanting to stay in the area.
very well appointed cottage in a quiet rural setting with delightful owners.Lovely welcome hamper, excellent facilities especially the dishwasher! We hope to come back.
A lovely cottage, thoughtfully updated, wonderfully comfortable, warm and welcoming and set in a beautiful location. As a bonus, the garden was secure for my 2 dogs to play in and there was plenty to see and do in the local area.
A well appointed cottage, equipped to a high standard in a beautiful tranquil location. Walks from the doorstep, plus an enclosed garden, are ideal for dogs. Lots of places of interest and sightseeing within easy reach too.
A perfect little cottage - ideal for two - set in beautiful rolling farmland with walks directly from the door. Exactly what we wanted. Incredibly clean and in lovely condition too.
