Contract Guidance

Updated: September 2022

We’re pleased to announce that we have updated our dedicated contract and cancellation guidance to help mia members mitigate the impact of infectious diseases on future bookings, and ensure all parties are protected.

Working with legal experts Mishcon de Reya, the step-by-step guidewhich can only be accessed by mia members, details all the actions venues operators should take to ensure they are totally transparent, and their cancellation policy is both fair and reasonable in all cases.

In addition to allowing for specific Infectious Diseases, this latest version includes a new dedicated price increase clause, which we highly recommend is used in all contracts. We strongly advise you do this, or that you work with your own legal teams, to have an appropriate clause prepared for your business.
