Susannah Streeter
Head of Money and MarketsSusannah Streeter is responsible for providing commentary and analysis to the media and clients on financial market movements and macro-economic developments. She joined Hargreaves Lansdown in 2020, following a 17-year career at the BBC, joining as a presenter and correspondent, and then becoming part of the finance and economics unit in 2005. She anchored World Business Report and Business Matters on the BBC World Service and reported on financial and economic themes for BBC Breakfast, Newsnight and the BBC Budget programme. She follows central bank monetary policy movements and fiscal policies closely, to assess the impact on financial markets and economic growth. Susannah speaks at and chairs major economic and business summits around the world and interviews leading economists, central bankers, and senior political figures. Susannah is also a former RAF Reserve Squadron Leader and has she has a keen interest in aviation and the impact of global trends on the aerospace industry. Susannah is the co-host of the HL Switch Your Money on podcast, our fortnightly dive into the investment world.
Derren Nathan
Head of Equity ResearchDerren has over 15 years of equity research experience across multiple sectors on both the buy and sell side. He joined Hargreaves Lansdown in 2022. Prior to that he was Head of Research at Hybridan LLP, a well respected corporate broker in the City, advising companies on fundraises, IPOs and the aftermarket, as well as providing investment research to institutional investors.
After graduating from the Manchester School of Management he began his career in accountancy practice, starting off in Corporate Recovery and Insolvency (a helpful introduction on how not to run a business), before spending 4 years at PwC’s investment funds division.
Derren is dedicated to enabling access to insightful digestible expert opinion for retail investors and helping to demystify financial analysis and equity valuations.
Matt Britzman
Equity AnalystMatt is an Equity Analyst on the share research team, providing up-to-date research and analysis on individual companies and wider sectors. He is currently responsible for coverage of Miners, Financials/Banks, Industrials and Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG).
Matt first joined HL in 2015, spending time in client-facing roles on the Investment Helpdesk. He moved into a management position in 2017, overseeing our investment related correspondence and joined the share research team in 2021.
Matt holds the Investment Management Certificate, has passed the Securities component of the CISI Investment Advice Diploma and is currently a candidate for level 2 of the CFA programme.
Aarin Chiekrie
Equity AnalystAarin is an Equity Analyst on the share research team, providing regular research and analysis on individual companies and wider sectors.
Before joining HL in 2022, Aarin worked at a wealth management firm, helping to deliver positive outcomes for clients. Having a keen interest in global economics, he knows how macro-events can impact individual companies.
Aarin graduated from the University of Liverpool with a first-class degree in Economics. He is currently undertaking the CFA programme.

Emma Wall
Head of Investment Analysis and ResearchEmma is responsible for developing and implementing the investment processes for Hargreaves Lansdown Asset Management solutions. Emma runs the Centre of Excellence that provides strategic asset allocation and ESG analysis across HLAM and HLFM, as well as analysis on equities, funds, investment trusts and ETFs for HL’s self-select, workplace and advised clients.
Emma also leads the Senior Research Team, which reviews investment selections against parameters designed to flag potential risks to clients. She reports to the Distribution Investment Oversight Committee and is a member of the Product Governance Committee. .
Emma joined HL in April 2019 from Morningstar where she provided investment news, views and analysis to investors across the UK, Australia, Canada and India. Prior to joining Morningstar in July 2013, Emma spent six years as a financial journalist at the Daily and Sunday Telegraph.
Steve Clayton
HL Select Fund ManagerSteve started working in the City in 1987, after gaining an economics degree from the University of Cambridge, and has worked in the stock market ever since. Early experience at Royal Life, NPI and Halifax eventually led to a Partnership at Mirabaud Securities LLP. That move saw Steve switch from running institutional portfolios to providing leading fund managers in the UK, Switzerland and North America with advice on stock selection and strategy. Steve joined Hargreaves Lansdown in 2014 to provide equity research to our clients and create the HL Select UK Growth Shares Fund range.
Tara Clee
ESG AnalystTara joined HL in 2018 after studying Human Geography at Cardiff University. Following two years on the graduate scheme, she joined the research team in 2022 as an ESG Analyst. She’s responsible for strengthening our ESG analysis capabilities, implementing the ESG Investment Policy and boosting our climate change and biodiversity stewardship.
She is passionate about climate change and making it easy for retail investors to invest sustainably. Tara holds the CII Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning, the CFA Investment Management Certificate, the CFA Certificate in ESG Investing and the CFA Certificate in Climate and Investing.

Alex Lambert
Senior Communcations ManagerAlex has been with HL for seven years, and over this time, has developed an in-depth understanding of our clients and our sector, having progressed through our Helpdesk and Graduate Scheme. Alex works across our Communications teams and manages HL’s Corporate Affairs Group, meaning he regularly interacts with a variety of stakeholders, from our colleagues through to journalists and investors.
Kat Hudson
Communcations ExecutiveKat is an English graduate from the University of Manchester who joined HL in 2018 and runs the press office. Sarah Coles
Head of Personal FinanceSarah joined Hargreaves Lansdown in 2017, after 14 years as a financial journalist. She worked for the likes of Bloomberg and Moneywise before going freelance – spending almost a decade writing for everyone from The Guardian to specialist investment and pension titles.
Areas of expertise include savings and financial planning, but also cover everything from tax to budgeting and spending. Sarah's unique life experience, from divorce and single parenting to bereavement and caring for an aging parent, mean she has more than just a theoretical understanding of the life-changing importance of financial planning.

Helen Morrissey
Head of Retirement AnalysisHelen joined Hargreaves Lansdown in August 2021 as a Senior Pensions and Retirement Analyst. She works with the media to raise awareness of key retirement issues to help people build financial resilience in retirement. Helen has 20 years’ experience in the pensions industry. Prior to joining Hargreaves Lansdown Helen worked as a pension specialist at Royal London where she provided media comment and research on issues such as auto-enrolment, investment, retirement income and state benefit take up. She was also an award-winning pensions journalist working on titles such as Professional Pensions, Global Pensions and Retirement Planner.

Anne Fairweather
Head of Government Affairs & Public PolicyAnne joined Hargreaves Lansdown in March 2021 as Head of Government Affairs & Public Policy. She leads campaigns on financial resilience and engaging retail investors. Anne has a long career in policy roles in London and Brussels. Over the last decade she has specialised in financial services policy issues for the British Bankers Association, Nest Pensions and Nationwide Building Society. Outside of work from 2016-2022 she was an independent Councillor in the City of London Corporation, working on issues from education and open spaces management to representing the financial and professional services sector on policy and trade issues.

Nathan Long
Senior AnalystNathan is a research analyst working on pensions, savings, investments and wider public affairs. He is the architect of HL’s Savings & Resilience Barometer and leads the work on using behavioural science to improve client decision making. He’s been instrumental in developing analysis of engagement among workplace pension members. He joined Hargreaves Lansdown in 2003 and has worked in several areas of the business including as a financial adviser to individuals, and as a pension and benefits consultant to employers across the UK.
Martha Girling
Responsible Business ManagerMartha Girling leads the responsible business work at Hargreaves Lansdown, aligning and coordinating activities across the business, including reporting, and runs its charitable foundation, the HL Foundation. After building the original Corporate Social Responsibility function at HL, Martha has been instrumental in developing this into a cross-business, purpose-led ESG strategy.
