St Luke's Campus

St Luke's Campus is home to students in:

• the School of Education
• the University of Exeter Medical School
• Health and Care Professions (including Medical Imaging and Nursing)

It is located on the east side of the city centre, just over a mile from Streatham Campus across the city to the north-west.

Founded in 1854 as a teacher training college, students have studied at St Luke's for over 160 years. Throughout that time the campus has grown and developed – currently, engagement activity is underway on an ambitious vision to shape the campus’s future as a hub of health and wellbeing research and education.

Although much has changed over the years, St Luke's has retained its vibrant, collegiate atmosphere and sense of history. Alumni of St Luke's proudly refer to themselves as 'Lukies' and hold a deep affection for their former place of study.

As you walk through the arches of the traditional North Cloisters you will see the lawns of the quadrangle surrounded by modern teaching buildings. Facilities include:

• a fully equipped library
• IT facilities and support
• modern seminar rooms, lecture theatres and an art room
• a sports hall
• a health and fitness studio
• an indoor heated swimming pool
• a chapel
• Muslim prayer rooms
• Cross Keys cafe and study space, providing students with a large communal space in which to eat, study and socialise.

The Students’ Guild organises many events and activities on campus and students at St Luke’s can also take full advantage of all the academic, social and sporting facilities at Streatham Campus.

St Luke's is directly opposite a Waitrose store, five minutes' walk from two areas of local shops, a 15 minute walk from the city centre and about a 35 minute walk from Streatham campus. Buses to the city centre, train station and to Streatham campus can be caught directly outside the gates, and run very frequently.
