Thoroughly enjoyed reading Sue Stockdale’s adventures. So very clear and concise.
Having been tutored by Sue many years ago with women in Enterprise and later working with her I now feel so very grateful to have shared some of her journey, all be it small.
She is a truly inspiring speaker to listen to and I would not hesitate in recommending this book to anyone either looking for their own adventures in life no matter how small. This book provides a thoughtful pause to the outside world whilst reading it and gets your mind thinking. I hope there is a follow up on this book as to what comes next when sue explores her inner self.

This well written book was an enjoyable read. The pace, the life story and insights made the book a bit of “a page turner” - hard to put down.

Sue Stockdale was candid without being over dramatic and, I suspect, somewhat understated in the effort she had to put in, let alone the discomfort she endured.

Skiing for days with huge blisters, sheltering in a tent with -30c and a storm raging outside, working in a war zone and starting a business up from nothing aren’t everyday events for most of us!

This is a fantastic recollection of seriously brave adventures by Sue Stockdale. Its not just another 'Polar Adventure' missive but an insight into a cracking character; curious, brave, and on many occasions a giggler of funny linguistic mistakes all over the World. So if like me you like being inspired by people who risk doing stuff you never would...read this!

Whether your adventure is climbing Mount Everest, starting a new business or advancing in your career, Sue Stockdale’s book has inspiration for you. Like a good coach, Sue shows you how to overcome obstacles and setbacks; have the courage to say ‘yes’ to the unknown; and question self-limiting beliefs. If you cannot hear Sue present her story live, this book is the next best thing.

Full disclosure: I am a friend of the author, but got acquainted with her long after the story of this book ends :-)
I really loved the immersiveness of the story telling and the colorful descriptions of the adventures. Been around the world myself a bit, and I could fully relate to the situations in Africa and LATAM. As I had never been up north so far, I was curious about those parts and I am deeply impressed. All in all, a good read, and a message that - if you put your mind and will to it - ANYONE can reach EVERYTHING they want.

Read this book when seeking inspiration about stepping into the unknown and succeeding. Sue’s experiences are fantastic and inspiring. I experienced extreme temperatures in the past, and this book brought up some memories. The experiences described in this book are not only physical challenges but also mental ones, which can be related to many challenges we face on daily basis.
