ONLY A PAVEMENT AWAY CELEBRATES 5TH ANNIVERSARY WITH LAUNCH OF BRAND-NEW PODCAST SERIES FOCUSED ON CHANGE MAKERS IN THE HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY

Celebrated industry charity Only A Pavement Away has announced the launch of brand-new podcast series, Hospitality Against Homelessness, An Only A Pavement Away Podcast, this October. The charity, which supports prison leavers, veterans and people facing homelessness in gaining meaningful employment in the hospitality sector, celebrates its 5th anniversary on 10th October, having been set up by Greg & Gill Mangham on World Homelessness Day in 2018.

ONLY A PAVEMENT AWAY CELEBRATES PLACING 400 MEMBERS INTO HOSPITALITY ROLES, AS INDUSTRY LEADERS COME TOGETHER AT COOK & DINE EVENT RAISING £42K

Only A Pavement Away announced that it had past the fantastic milestone of placing 400 people into roles in the hospitality industry, while raising an incredible £42k at its annual Cook and Dine event on Wednesday 20th September.

ONLY A PAVEMENT AWAY EVOLVES ITS FILL A FLASK SUMMER CAMPAIGN, FOLLOWING LAST YEARS SUCCESS.

The initiative is being sponsored by Caterer.com, and will see hospitality operators volunteering and donating 1000 reusable thermal flasks with Only a Pavement Away branding to local homeless charities, who can pass them onto those who need them most.

PEDALLING FOR PUBS AND PEDALLING 2 PUBS 2023 COMBINED FUNDRASING HITS £400K

A remarkable fundraising drive from the debut Pedalling 2 Pubs ride has breached £75k, bringing the total money raised from this year's Pedalling for Pubs and Pedalling 2 Pubs campaigns to over £400k. The combined fundraising total, which will be split between two fantastic industry charities, The Licensed Trade Charity and Only A Pavement Away, was announced at the British Institute of Innkeeping (BII) Summer Event on Tuesday.

We recently completed our weeklong Passport 2 Employment programme, which introduces candidates to basic hospitality skills and empowers them through personal development and employment opportunities.

London, Oct. 18, 2023 – Today, the Hilton Global Foundation, Hilton’s primary philanthropic arm, announced a commitment to grant a record £2.7 million in funding to organisations that are supporting career development, community resilience and environmental sustainability, including two UK charities.
