The term successor defines a plant-based meat or fish product that is the next generation to meat alternatives. This means a successor goes beyond simply replicating the taste and texture of animal meat (how some plant-based meats perform), with short ingredient labels, to also incorporate high density and value profiles: healthy fats, low saturated fats, and high levels of protein, iron and vitamin B12.

We want you to Invest Aware and understand when you may expect to realise a financial return on your shares. In the short term, we expect to reinvest retained profit to help us grow.

A convertible is an investment for equity in a company where shares will be issued at a future date. Usually the shares will be issued when the company completes a larger round of investment (in our case when we soon close Series B).

Businesses tend to raise finance through a convertible as part of a wider funding strategy. A convertible allows a company to raise equity finance without setting a valuation - the valuation will be set by the subsequent investment round or at an agreed valuation on a longstop date. The invested resources will be converted into shares when we close the future financing round. Crowdcube will automatically contact Heura Foods to ensure that the conversion occurs at the appropriate point and they will send you an email when the actions are issued so that you can download your declaration of beneficial ownership in your Crowdcube profile.

By investing in a convertible round, you are investing early in that company and the value of your shares are greater than those in the next follow on round. Investors will get a discount and an interest on the following round when shares are issued.

The terms of the convertible will give you contractual protections and Crowdcube will liaise with the company to ensure that your investment is converted into shares in line with the agreed terms and at the right time.
