Specially curated for the English National Opera by leading Gilbert & Sullivan singer/director John Savournin, this tour will take you on an immersive theatrical journey around Westminster.

Along the route you’ll discover monuments dedicated to G&S, encounter characters (appearing on your screen) from their operettas, and hear special recordings (through your headphones) by the world-class ENO Chorus & Orchestra.

So expect to encounter, amongst others, a local bobby, a wandering prisoner of the Tower, the First Lord of the Admiralty – even fairies! – at famous London landmarks.

The tour starts from behind the Savoy Theatre, the famous home of Gilbert & Sullivan’s comic operas, at the D'Oyly Carte Monument in Victoria Embankment Gardens. It ends at ENO’s home at the London Coliseum, where many of Gilbert & Sullivan’s works are performed today. Please use the illustrative map to navigate the tour route, as well as the locations labelled on each stop.

Whether you are new to opera or a Gilbert & Sullivan fanatic, this tour offers a fun, immersive and unique way to experience the music.

Initially created as a live tour for Westminster City Council’s Inside Out outdoor arts festival and in collaboration with Silent Disco Walking Tours.
