A recent study by Cloudflare, Inc. highlights the urgent cybersecurity challenges facing businesses in the Middle East and Türkiye (MET). 78% of business leaders anticipate a cybersecurity incident within the next 12 months, yet only 46% feel prepared to address such threats. Key Highlights: 📌 Cyberattack Frequency: 82% of MET organizations have experienced at least one incident in the past two years, with many facing multiple attacks. 📌 Vulnerable Sectors: Financial Services (63%) and IT & Technology (61%) are the most targeted, while medium-sized organizations are notably more vulnerable (58%). 📌 Common Attack Types: The most frequent threats include web attacks (69%), malware (62%), and phishing (55%). 📌 Financial Impact: 77% of affected organizations estimated losses of at least $1 million, with 38% reporting losses exceeding $2 million. 📌 Proactive Measures: 74% of leaders expect their cybersecurity budget to increase over the next year, reflecting the growing need for robust protective measures. As cyber threats rise in both volume and complexity, organizations must prioritize innovative solutions to safeguard their operations.
