We're still thrilled! Thank you, TIME Magazine, for naming ZeroAvia the Top Greentech Company! We're lucky to have the support of a dedicated team focused on advancing the aviation sector towards net-zero emissions. While we have the technology in place to address aviation's growing climate impact, effectively integrating these innovations into the sector requires collaborative efforts among innovators, regulatory bodies, and industry stakeholders. “TIME‘s recognition of our technical achievements and market accomplishments to date is a validation of the hard work and dedication of our incredible team. But as recognized by the magazine, aviation is a hard-to-abate sector, so the best way we can honor this designation is by continuing our effort to deliver zero-emission commercial flight as soon as possible.” This is only the beginning and we’re excited to be pioneering truly clean flight in the next decade! #zeroemission #hydrogen #aviation #aircraft

How do electric motors work in aviation? A new "ZeroAvia Introduces..." video to compliment the existing video walking through the basics of fuel cells. Electric motors can be more energy-efficient, reduce noise pollution, increase durability and significantly reduce the carbon footprint compared to traditional combustion engines. As the aviation industry seeks more sustainable solutions to combat the sector's climate impact, electriflying flight is the key innovation. Hydrogen-electric systems, using fuel cells to generate electricity and power electric motors, are increasingly recognised as a key solution, but rely on hyper efficient and aerospace-optimized motors. In this introductory video, Mike Sarnoff-Wood, Lead Electric Integration Engineer at ZeroAvia, shares his take on how an electric motor works. Watch the video to find out how electric propulsion can revolutionise aviation! ✈ #zeroemission #aviation #electricmotors #fuelcells

The aviation panels at yesterday’s Innovation Zero event offered another glimpse of the great progress being made to bring aviation to net-zero. This covered SAF development, hydrogen powered flights and engine ground tests, and testing of hydrogen operations on commercial airfields. It was my pleasure to be part of the discussion and to share ZeroAvia’s latest achievements and ambitions. We also touched on barriers to commercialisation of zero emissions tech and the need to find ways to support its scale up and initial introduction to compete with technology based on mature supply chains and decades of operational experience.
What an insightful and informative couple of days at Innovation Zero, the UK's largest Net Zero conference! It was an honour to provide the opening speech and chair the Aviation Forum yesterday. The conference showcased the tremendous progress being made in decarbonising aviation, specifically in sustainable aviation fuel, hydrogen, and battery-electric technology. SMEs and larger OEMs are driving this progress, but challenges remain around commercialisation and the need for enabling regulation and intelligent policies. The moderators and panelists were top-notch, and I'd like to extend a huge thank you to Victoria Tozer-Pennington, Alex Macheras and Liz Henderson for leading sessions on moving from R&D to commercialisation, sustainable aviation fuel, hydrogen, and airport infrastructure changes, respectively. The panelists - including Paul Hutton Helen Leadbetter, Harry Malins Hervé MORVAN Freya Burton, Aaron Robinson, Rebecca Ross, Emily Hickinson, James McMicking, Andrew Chadwick, Lahiru Ranasinghe, Andy Smith, Christopher Snelling, Alex Macheras and Nick Platts - provided valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities facing the industry. It was also good to hear Andrew Symes talk about a novel way of scaling SAF with CO2-derived e-fuel. Overall, the conference highlighted the importance of collaboration across sectors to achieve our shared goals. Let's continue to work together to drive the aviation industry towards decarbonisation! #InnovationZero #NetZero #sustainableaviation #decarbonisation.
