The BPF Horners Awards
The prestigious BPF Horners Awards, created in 1946, are hosted every year by the Worshipful Company of Horners and British Plastics Federation. The Award is believed to be the longest established design award for plastics in the world. It is a cornerstone of the industry as the activities associated with the award support design and education in the plastics industry. The first competition was held in 1947 and the award is now bigger and better than ever before.
Awards You Can Win:
Innovation and Design Award Any innovation which contains/relates to a polymer (for example: plastic products, processes, machinery, concepts...etc.) Deadline for entries: 31 July 2024 |

Bottlemakers Award for Plastic Packaging Entries for this award must be a plastic package, hollow container, bottle, or made by any process including extrusion blow, injection blow, injection stretch blow, injection moulding, rotational moulding or vacuum forming. Polymer Apprentice of the Year Award 2024
The Polymer Apprentice of the Year Award, run jointly by the Worshipful Company of Horners and the British Plastics Federation Education & Skills Committee, is open for entry from September-November every year.
The award is for apprentices employed in a technical, engineering, manufacturing or design role associated with polymer processing or polymer/additive manufacture. Nominations can be made by the apprentice’s employer.
The winner will be invited to attend the Livery Companies Skills Council Apprentice Ceremony 2024, in London, where they will receive a prize of £500 and a ceremonial drinking horn, along with the Apprentice Horner Certificate from the Lord Mayor of London.
